How can China lead the double-helix growth in the fiberglass market?

1. Scale and Structure
The Chinese fiberglass market is expected to reach 85 billion yuan in 2025, with high-end electronic-grade products accounting for over 25%. Demand in the traditional construction sector will decrease from 38% in 2025 to 28% in 2030, while the share of new energy applications will increase from 42% to 55%. Specifically, in the wind power sector, the amount of fiberglass used in blades for a single offshore wind turbine with a capacity of over 10 MW is 2.3 times that of an onshore unit. In the photovoltaic sector, the thickness of the ultra-thin fiberglass backsheet for N-type TOPCon cells will be reduced from 0.3mm to 0.15mm. In the hydrogen energy sector, the penetration rate of the fiberglass winding process for 70MPa hydrogen storage tank liners will increase from 15% in 2025 to 40% in 2030.

2. Focus of the Technological Competition
· Ultra-fineness: The mass production rate of electronic yarns below 8μm will increase significantly, meeting the stringent low dielectric properties required for 5G communication equipment. High-Temperature Resistance: Research and development of heat-resistant fiberglass exceeding 500°C has entered the pilot stage, meeting the demands of extreme environments such as aircraft engines and high-temperature furnaces.

Intelligent Manufacturing: The AI-powered kiln temperature control system has increased product yield from 92% to 98%, reduced unit energy consumption by 18%, and enabled a 25% increase in single-line production capacity through the digital twin factory.

3. Green Transformation Wave
The EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) has forced companies to establish full-lifecycle carbon management systems. By combining photovoltaics with energy storage, we have achieved 100% green electricity supply, significantly reducing carbon emissions per unit of product compared to the industry average. Breakthroughs have been made in waste silk recycling technology, significantly increasing the recovery rate through physical methods, and potentially reducing carbon emissions by over 5 million tons annually. The circular economy model has become a new industry benchmark.
