Fiberglass Fibers And Asphalt Mixture
Nowadays, the traffic volume is getting bigger and bigger, and the requirements for pavement materials are getting higher
and higher. The old asphalt pavement has faced various kinds of diseases in the face of these problems. To alleviate these problems,
more and more scholars have proposed to incorporate fibers into the asphalt mixture.
In this paper, it is proposed to incorporate glass fiber at low price and with a good toughening effect in the asphalt mixture. The indoor test is used to evaluate the high-temperature stability, low-temperature crack resistance, and water stability of the asphalt mixture after the glass fiber is blended.
The test results show that the performance of all aspects of the asphalt mixture after blending is improved to some extent compared without glass fiber, and the degree of improvement is best in all aspects when the glass fiber blending amount is 0.2%. Therefore, it is worthwhile to study the incorporation of glass fiber into the asphalt mixture with 0.2% of the blending amount. The incorporation of glass fiber into the asphalt mixture can also provide a reference for the future development of fiber blending asphalt mixture.
