From building formwork to automotive battery packs, from wind turbine blades to photovoltaic frames, fiberglass composites are empowering countless industries with their low-cost advantage.
Building formwork turnover rates increased tenfold, battery pack weight reduced by 35%, and bridge corrosion resistance extended to decades-these concrete figures demonstrate that fiberglass is not a "low-end material," but a key driver of upgrading traditional industries. China Jushi has built the world's first zero-carbon intelligent manufacturing base for fiberglass in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of high-performance fiberglass. This large-scale, low-cost, and green manufacturing capability is a core advantage of China's composite materials industry.
Fiberglass not only serves traditional industries but also provides "scale support" for emerging industries. Wind turbine blades have exceeded 120 meters in length, and high-modulus fiberglass is a key material for large-scale applications. In photovoltaic frames, fiberglass replaces aluminum, reducing costs by 25% and increasing corrosion resistance. Of particular note is the breakthrough in recyclable fiberglass technology-thermoplastic fiberglass blades retain 92% of their strength after recycling, achieving a closed loop of "material-product-material." With its large-scale and widespread application, fiberglass composite materials form the cornerstone of the industry, connecting traditional upgrades with emerging breakthroughs, making it the undisputed "main force" of the composite materials industry.
