By following a few basic rules when working with fiberglass, you can avoid some problems like fiberglass rash or itching. Below Nanjingefg shares some common techniques.

1. When you know an item contains fiberglass, do not touch it with bare hands

2. Protect your hands by wearing gloves on yourself.

3. Other recommended protective equipment includes goggles or goggles and an anti-particulate respirator. Make sure your goggles cover the entire eye, including the sides.

4. You can also wear long sleeves, long pants and loose clothing.

5. After finishing the work, please take off the work clothes immediately after finishing.

6. Wash the clothes separately, then make sure to rinse them in the washing machine.

7. Regarding the work area, do not sweep or raise dust, but use a vacuum cleaner or wet mop. The vacuum cleaner should have a suitable particulate air filter.

8. Work in a well-ventilated place.

9. After finishing your fiberglass work, take a shower yourself. Some fiberglass may still get on your skin.

10. Flush eyes with water as insurance, even if you wear goggles at all times.

11. If you do find fibers on the skin, do not rub or scratch as this will push the finer pieces further into the skin.

12. If the work can be done by someone else, it is better to have a professional do it.
