make a record! The world's longest fiberglass blade was born

A few days ago, the offshore wind power blade S84 independently developed by Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group successfully passed the full-scale static test in Lianyungang. The blade is 84 meters long, becoming the second longest blade in the world after LM88.4 meters, and setting a new record for the longest blade in China. It is worth noting that this is also the longest fiberglass blade in the world.

DNV GL, an authoritative third-party certification body at home and abroad, and China Quality Certification Center (CQC) jointly witnessed this historical moment and highly recognized it. All test indicators of the airfoil meet the requirements of GL2010 and IEC61400-23 standards. It took only 14 days to complete the full-scale static load test stably and reliably, and its passing speed created a new record for the static load test of similar large blades. In order to further ensure the safety of the blade design, Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group also applied for the DNV·GL design certification while applying for the type certification of the domestic certification body. At present, GL has issued a certificate that the blade meets the design standards.

Although the S84 adopts a full fiberglass design, its weight can be controlled at about 29 tons. The S84 blade is a fiberglass blade independently developed by Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group, which will be assembled on the new model DD6250-172 wind turbine newly released by Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group.
