Did you know that Verretex and Fiberloop have joined forces to accelerate the global recycling of composite materials?

Verretex and Fiberloop have announced a strategic partnership to provide recycling companies with a complete, high-value solution for handling end-of-life and industrial waste composite materials. To this end, the two companies will integrate Fiberloop's advanced recycling systems with Verretex's industrial-scale sourcing capabilities for high-quality recycled fiberglass.

Verretex is a Swiss clean technology company specializing in the production of high-performance nonwovens made from recycled fiberglass; Fiberloop is a Swedish company specializing in the design and manufacture of composite material recycling equipment that helps recycling companies recover high-quality fibers from end-of-life fiberglass products and industrial waste. The two companies have officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

Fiberloop's recycling technology is already in use by a company in the shipbuilding recycling sector, which also partners with companies such as Beneteau, Owens Corning, Veolia, and Chopard. In March 2025, these four companies, along with Composite Recycling and Arkema, signed a cooperation agreement to realize a circular economy model for shipbuilding. Verretex has tested the fibers recycled through the Fiberloop process and confirmed that "this fiber is among the highest grade of recycled fiberglass currently on the market"-exhibiting "superior consistency, strength, and cleanliness," thus perfectly matching Verretex's high-performance nonwoven fabric production needs. These nonwoven fabrics have wide applications in wind power, automotive, construction, and industrial sectors.

Double Benefits for Recycling Companies: Technical Support and Comprehensive End-Market Coverage

As the core of the collaboration, Fiberloop will provide recycling companies with a fully integrated composite material recycling plant, while Verretex will make long-term purchases of recycled fibers. This collaborative model will provide recycling companies with both technical support and end-market channels, ensuring their profitability and scalability.

"This collaboration completes the entire value chain for composite material recycling," said Mitchell Anderson, CEO of Verretex. "Fiberloop provides the most advanced recycling equipment we've tested, while Verretex opens up high-value applications for recycled fibers. Together, we offer comprehensive support for recycling companies to build viable circular economy business models."

"This collaboration brings together two companies committed to accelerating the development of a circular economy for composite materials," noted Henrik Westermark, CEO of Fiberloop. "By combining Fiberloop's proven recycling system with Verretex's globally leading applications of recycled materials, we can enable recycling companies to achieve efficient, sustainable, and profitable growth from the outset. This is a significant leap forward for the entire industry."

The collaboration between Verretex and Fiberloop aims not only to accelerate composite material recycling in Europe but also to drive industry transformation globally. Currently, the two companies have established partnerships with recycling companies, equipment manufacturers, and policymakers in Europe, North America, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Asia.
