Fiberglass Yarn: Output Growth Has Dropped Significantly
China's total output of fiberglass yarn will reach 7.23 million tons in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%, and the growth rate will drop by 5 percentage points compared with 2022. Affected by the slow recovery of overall market demand and the continued imbalance between production capacity supply and demand, most of the industry's ongoing or proposed pool kiln construction projects have been delayed in production since 2023. Many companies have shut down many old lines while putting new pool kiln lines into operation, and some have Ball kilns and small and medium-sized crucible drawing manufacturers have adopted varying degrees of production reduction measures, causing the industry's overall production capacity to shift from increase to decrease during the year. The growth rate of total fiberglass yarn production has slowed significantly since the second half of the year.
