Since 2013, as domestic players have gradually broken through the bottlenecks in production, equipment and other aspects, the domestic fiberglass field has ushered in great development. Last year, my country's fiberglass output exceeded 7 million tons. The global fiberglass market size is approximately 50 billion yuan.

The obvious characteristics of the entire industry are that it is capital and technology intensive, and the entry threshold is still relatively high. For example, the investment in roving is close to 150 million yuan (capacity per 10,000 tons).

Under such a high threshold, it is easy to create a "siege" dilemma, and the competitive landscape is relatively stable. As of the end of last year, there were approximately 13 production lines for production pond kilns that were temporarily suspended for cooling and repair. However, there are 6 new pool kiln wire drawing production lines planned to be put into operation this year (10,000 tons or above).

In this way, the production capacity of fiberglass to be released is actually expected to continue to increase. Many players hope to take advantage of the industry's low point to expand production capacity and eliminate or merge and reorganize small and medium-sized players to continue to improve economies of scale and competitiveness.
