Instructions for use
According to the following method, it is very convenient to lay polyester fiberglass cloth.
◆ Clean the pavement on the pavement with polyester fiberglass cloth: remove dirt, gravel and dust to ensure the asphalt bonding effect.
◆ When the foundation pavement has large cracks (6mm or more), pits or damage, it should be repaired and filled.
◆ The bonding oil layer used must be hot asphalt. Emulsified asphalt should not be used, otherwise the bonding effect of polyester fiberglass cloth is reduced.
◆ The optimum temperature for bonding asphalt is 163-204 °C.
◆ After the asphalt is spread, the polyester fiberglass cloth must be paved before the asphalt has lost fluidity. Otherwise, the cloth body is difficult to soak the asphalt and reduce the waterproof performance of the polyester fiberglass cloth.
◆ The ambient temperature of paving polyester fiberglass cloth construction must be above 4 °C.

◆ Polyester fiberglass cloth must be installed on hot asphalt. We recommend the following asphalt. AC-20; PG64-22; AR8000; or bitumen grade 60-80 asphalt. For extreme high temperature summer construction, it is recommended The use of higher viscosity asphalt, the following asphalt is more suitable for summer construction: AC-30; PG67-22; AR8000; or assorted asphalt grade 40-60.
◆ The best asphalt utilization ratio is 1.1 liters / square meter, but depending on the actual situation of the installation road surface and the expected overlap, the usage ratio will have a range: 1.0-1.3 liters / square meter. ◆ Be careful when loading and unloading polyester fiberglass cloth. If the cloth roll falls from the transport vehicle, it will damage the polyester fiberglass cloth, causing application problems.
◆ If streaks appear in the installation, any strips larger than 2.5 cm appearing in the paving direction must be cut and overlapped, and the overlap should be manually immersed in the asphalt layer. Polyester fiberglass cloth must be used. Roll or brush to ensure that it is in full contact with the road surface and remove air bubbles. The coating width of hot asphalt must be increased by 4 inches over the width of the polyester fiberglass cloth. Polyester fiberglass cloth is not easy to bend on the curved surface. Or stretch. When installing on a curved surface, the cloth can be shortened and can be installed mechanically or manually.
◆ Polyester fiberglass cloth can be installed with a metal roller driven by a tractor or truck. The metal roller is used to ensure that the polyester fiberglass cloth is spread evenly on the road surface. It must be installed behind the mounting roller. There is a row of brushes to ensure that the polyester fiberglass cloth is pressed into the asphalt coating. The joint of the polyester fiberglass cloth must have a laminated layer of 5.1 cm in the longitudinal direction and a 10.2 cm overlap in the width direction. The uppermost transverse joint must be in the direction of the paving, and all joints must be joined together.
◆ The paving machinery or other vehicles must be gradually unfolded on the polyester fiberglass cloth installation, and be sure to make as little steering as possible to avoid possible damage to the cloth. In the construction of the paving, the equipment tires must be attached to the fabric surface, and the sand surface should be sprinkled as little as possible to avoid being adhered. Do not reduce the amount of asphalt laid in order to reduce the adhesion of the tire. The best practice is to spread the overlap.
