What is the production process of fiberglass?

1. Raw material preparation

The process of producing fiberglass fabrics usually uses fiberglass as raw materials. These fiberglass may be made of materials such as fiberglass filaments, carbon fibers, graphite, etc. At this stage, the raw materials may be treated to improve their strength and other properties

2. Fiber preparation

After the raw materials are melted at high temperatures, they are made into long and thin fibers through special processes. These fibers are usually very fine and can have different diameters to meet the needs of different uses

3. Spinning and weaving

The fibers are woven into fabrics, usually using various weave structures such as plain, twill, satin, etc. The weaving process fixes the fibers together to form a stable fabric structure

4. Coating and surface treatment

Where required, the fabric may receive different types of coatings or surface treatments to increase its durability, weather resistance or specific properties. These treatments may include resin coatings, silicone coatings, etc.

5. Drying and curing

The fabric may need to go through a drying and curing process to ensure that the coatings and other treatments can fully bond with the fabric and provide the desired properties

6. Cutting and winding

The fabric is usually cut to the required size and then wound into reels or rolls for transportation and use
